TITLE: Electrical Technician
DEPARTMENT: Fab Shop
FLSA: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Job Summary
The Electrical Technician will help create, maintain, and repair electronic components of equipment, and work on site to keep equipment running correctly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-
Perform general maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and components
-
Perform periodic checks to make sure the equipment is functioning properly
-
Identify and troubleshoot any issues that may cause premature failure
-
Support the staff by using knowledge and experience to layout, assemble, wire, label, install, test, and troubleshoot wiring, control systems and control devices
-
Basic knowledge and understanding of electrical schematic diagrams
-
Install, maintain, and repair a variety of different circuits ranging from but not limited to vehicle wiring harnesses, diesel engine wiring, and control systems
-
Detailed oriented with documentation record keeping and logging information for future reference
-
Know and understand the current specifications of quality policies and procedures and contributes to the achievement of the quality objectives
-
And other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
-
Above average mechanical aptitudes
-
Have a basic understanding of vehicle and heavy equipment system operations
-
Hydraulic experience /Oil and Gas experience is a plus
-
Excellent communication skills for cooperation in a strong team environment, and the required interaction with outside vendors
-
Must be self-motivated, demonstrate quality craftsmanship and take pride in work performed
-
Ability to take direction while learning Summit Sales & Equipment processes and environment.

TITLE: Fabricator Welder
DEPARTMENT: Fab Shop
FLSA: Non- Exempt, Hourly
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform fabrication, such as cutting and welding, to make a finished product.
-
Tack-weld fitted parts together in proper manner according the guidelines.
-
Remove high spots and cut bevels, using hand files, portable grinders, and cutting torches to company standards.

Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes in accordance with company drawings and with company standards.
-
Align and fit parts using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers according to specifications.
-
Move parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranes.
-
Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, cutting torches, and hand tools as directed.
-
Understand drawings and directions to determine material requirements and task sequences. Examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met. Maintain tools, equipment and shop area for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required tools and equipment within a safe work area.

Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Maintain punctual attendance in accordance with shop schedule and company's attendance requirements.

Perform functions in a safe manner in accordance with company standards.
