Types of Testing
Keeps surfaces free of erosion, corrosion, and irregularities. Our visual inspection includes a complete assessment of inside bores in all flowline equipment, terminal connections, and seal surfaces.
ULTRASONIC WALL THICKNESS MEASUREMENT
The UT process measures multiple critical areas in each piece of high-pressure iron to detect erosion and ensure that acceptable specifications are met.
MAGNETIC PARTICLE TEST
We induce a magnetic field in each component, and then apply particles suspended in a wet format. The MPI test is able to detect rounding, cracks, and other discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials.
Pressure testing can be done up to the capacity for each piece of iron.
From our re-certification facility in Bridgeport, WV to our other locations in Wooster, OH and Firestone, CO, we carry a wide variety of new products and repair and replacement parts, including pup joints, integral fittings, swivel joints, plug valves, and restraints, so we can quickly respond to any of your iron needs.
MOBILE IRON INSPECTION
Summit offers mobile inspection services, with our expert technicians able to travel to meet you on site for work units meet on-site including flow iron, valve inspection, testing, repair and documentation.
IDENTIFICATION AND BANDING
Color-coded or stainless steel bands with serial numbers, pressure ratings and inspection dates, will be applied to all equipment. Additional information can also be included as needed.
In addition to traditional methods, we utilize the Infochip system to deliver results digitally, accessible wherever and whenever you need them.
